Two Tips to Follow When Shopping for Custom Corporate Gift Hampers

If you run a corporation and would like to pick up a custom corporate gift hamper for one of your business associates, high-performing employees or clients, here are some tips to follow.

Ensure the items you decide to include in the hamper will appeal to more than one person

Whilst you may intend to give this gift hamper to a specific person, it's a good idea to ensure that it will appeal to more than one person. Most custom corporate gift hampers are large, with generous quantities of food, drink, luxury toiletries and other indulgent items. Because of this, most recipients will end up sharing the contents of their hampers with their loved ones.

It will be easier for them to do this if the items you've chosen to include in the hamper are varied and will appeal to several people whose tastes differ. For example, if you have a business associate who you know loves high-quality wine and cheeses, but whose spouse is a teetotal vegan, it might be a good idea to create a hamper that not only features the traditional versions of these items but which also includes a bottle of alcohol-free wine and a selection of vegan cheeses. This will mean that their spouse will also be able to indulge in the contents.

This thoughtfulness will ensure that the hamper you pick will not seem like a generic item that you just shopped for at the last minute, but instead will be seen as a considerate gift that you've consciously chosen with them and their loved ones in mind. It's particularly important to do this if you really want to impress a particular associate or client or if you want to demonstrate that you greatly appreciate an employee's dedication to their role.

Make sure it's suitable for the current season

When having this gift hamper made up, you should ensure that its contents are suitable for the current season. For example, if you're going to get a hamper that features alcohol, you could choose drinks that are served chilled (such as white wine or readymade margaritas) if you'll be giving the hamper to someone during the summer, or you could get a hamper with red wine, sherry or a creamy, warming liqueur if you'll be giving it to the recipient in the winter.

Doing this will ensure that the client, business associate or employee can use it soon after receiving it. If they must tuck it away because they cannot use it for another few months, they might either never get around to opening it or they might forget who gave it to them by the time they are able to use it, in which case it may not impress them in the way you had intended it to.
